Why are we starting a Midwest Influencers Conference? Well, let's face it - the Midwest has some of the most awesome bloggers and online influencers out there! In the past few years I've met men and women who are changing the world with
their words, websites and even making positive changes in their community. But we're in a "dead zone" when it comes to conferences. One may swing through our neck of the woods every few years - but to actually have one that knows what we need and want - that is our goal. Yes, we have a lot of trade shows in the Midwest - because reality is we have some rocking products based here. But there aren't a ton of conferences for us to connect at, meet the brands that want to connect with us, and provide us with the classes we want and need - well, not within a short distance.
I love attending conferences to connect with brands and learn great tips to help grow my website and business. What I don't love though - having to drive for half a day to get there, or pay a small fortune to get to my favorite ones. Our goal is to rotate this conference around major cities within the Midwest making it accessible for all Midwest Bloggers and online influencers.
How will it be different than every other one out there? We plan on balancing the classes for both beginners and seasoned influencers. The conference will not only feature great learning experiences but will offer time to actually meet the sponsors and brands. You don't have to choose to learn or network - you can do both! And the VIP experience... we'll we'll discuss that more later.
We love being from the Midwest, and think that we're often over looked. So let's do this, after all, we rock and deserve to have a conference that focuses on us!
